New Artisans' Guild comes to Camas

After discovering that Camas has no art-related organization, a group of artists is meeting to inspire interest in the new Artisans’ Guild of Camas, a community organization that promotes, supports, and encourages artisans of all media and experience. Once the group is established, officers will be chosen and an art event will be planned for the community to enjoy, hopefully in the summer of 2022.

The founding members are Deborah Nagano, Angela Swanson, India De Landa, and Toni McCarthy. A few monthly meetings have occurred, by-laws are in the discussion phase, a Facebook group has been formed to promote the guild, and a website will be published soon where artists can join to become members and learn more details about the guild. Building membership and encouraging attendance at planning meetings will be the immediate goal.
