About the event
Join Birdhouse Books for a First Friday poetry event! This month for National Poetry Month, we're excited to feature three local poets including Clark County's very own Poet Laureate, Armin Tolentino, with Morgan Paige and William Erickson!
About the Poets:
Armin Tolentino is the author of the poetry collection We Meant to Bring It Home Alive (Alternating Current Press). He earned an MFA at Rutgers University-Newark and is a former Oregon Literary Arts Fellow. He’s currently serving as Clark County Poet Laureate and spends way too much time fishing at night for someone who's afraid of the dark. More info at www.armintolentino.com.
Morgan Paige is a poet, and visual artist residing in Kalama, WA. Her first poetry chapbook and poetry album, Lick the Psychic, was released in October 2019 by Lightship Press and recorded by Shady Pines Media. It takes you on a playful, chanting ride, exploring themes of femininity, psychedelia, and the life/death/life cycle. Lick the Psychic is available at Birdhouse Books now (and on Bandcamp https://www.lickthepsychic.com/.../lick-the-psychic-book...). More at: morganpaigepoetry.com
William Erickson is a poet and memoirist from Vancouver, Washington. His poetry appears or is forthcoming in West Branch, Heavy Feather, GASHER, The Adirondack Review, and many other pubs. He is the author of a chapbook, Monotonies of the Wildlife (FLP 2022).
